Accessibility Statement

CrewCast is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to everyone — including residents, contractors, and government agency staff who use assistive technology.

Our standard

CrewCast is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II web accessibility rule for state and local government services.

What we do

  • Every page works with keyboard navigation, including a "skip to main content" link and visible focus indicators.
  • Forms, buttons, and dynamic content (like chat and project updates) are labeled for screen readers, and errors are announced when they occur.
  • Interactive project maps have text alternatives, including a written list of streets in each work zone.
  • Colors and text meet WCAG contrast requirements on our dark theme.
  • We run automated accessibility checks against our key pages as part of our development process.

Known limitations

Drawing work zones directly on a map requires a mouse or touch input. A fully keyboard-accessible alternative is provided: work zones can be added by entering street addresses or coordinates in the boundary editor.

Report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on CrewCast, please tell us. We take reports seriously and aim to respond promptly.
